My shop has a lower ceiling thus had to go with 6ft doors, yeh. Im thinking that changing out the rops would be very costly. Guess I'll have to go to another make don't want to but if I get a new tractor it will not be stored outside. Looked at mahrindra today, they look cheaper made, rims on a 2014 were already starting to show rust, and they definitely aren't cheaper. Up here in Canada a 1705 is 13400, jk 1023e 15999 if you buy another attachment and Kubota bx 2360 15500, and mahrindra 24hp 16999. All the mentioned come with fel no mower and all but the massey have folding rops that will fit in my garage. To be honest I haven't even seen a 1705, no dealer in my city but it has the biggest engine cid of them all, that is why I would go for the 1705 then increase the throttle to make it a 1715, so it revs to 3000rpm if needed. If I have to then I will be looking at a Kubota b series, bigger frame etc but also 5000 more, jd bigger frame is 21999 for the 2025r, maharinda 26 is 19999, and don't even know what model the bigger massey is but also I'm guessing in the same price range.
