Have several questions on hydraulics. The manual says there are 2 filters if you have hydrostatic trans. I see one vertical filter, is there a second filter? So I should have 2 filters in addition to the suction filter?
Also I thought I was low on hydraulic fluid,(got real noisy last time I used it), was hard to tell on the sight glass. So I bought some "NAPA premium heavy duty tractor hydraulic and transmission fluid". Says on bucket meets specs for permatran 821 xl that manual calls for. May have it overfilled now, after running for few minutes looks like air bubbles in sight glass. Could this be from overfilling? Had anybody used the napa fluid before?
Have 280 hrs so figured I would go ahead and change fluid. I would like to use something other than permatran just for ease of getting it. NAPA, MOBIL, or Shell rotella or spiral? Any thoughts on those fluids? And lastly, what level do y'all keep fluid in sight glass?
