Loader massey 231 with 232 loader

Hi all I have a 231 with 232 loader that worked fine this summer but now that winter is here the front pump shaft set screws have stripped and the coupling just spins free. I drilled and put a grade 5 bolt in but it broke that when started at 10 below 0 is there a valve that is not working making to much pressuer or is it just water in my pump making it turn that hard when froze I just bought the tractor last summer it was fine till it was time to move snow I would not think there is that much torque on that shaft but so far it does not like winter in vt any thoughts would be great as Ibought the tractor with snow removel in mind but so far it brakes every time its colder then 25 or so thanks sam

not shore but hoping to drain it and change it before I start at below zero but if we get more snow that might not be possible the dealer i bought it from SAID they changed all the fuids but I wonder

I would try to turn it by hand to be sure its not mechanical bound. My Cessna pump was a gear pump and I never had issues on cold starts.
