massey electric front PTO smoked

Thanks in advance. I have a massey 1010 with a electric front mount pto clutch. Just got done rebuilding the mower deck and noticed that the shaft that drives the electric pto was very sloppy. So I dissesembled and found that the carrier bearing was to large wasnt even holding the shaft. Sourced out a new bearing and reassemble unit.Was workin fine untill the clutch started sending smoke signals.First thought that it was the bearing,I thought a 5 dollar bearing is nothing to lose, worst case i have to replace bearing again. I was wrong i think it is the clutch lining.Is there a better way to hook up my belly mower on this 1010 or am i stuck with the electric clutch that I have to replace? This clutch replacement is very expensive and im not likeing it at all.Grass is still long.

You might want to check out surpluscenter.com. If you know what the dimensions and/or make of your clutch, you might be able to match up what you have, with what they sell.
