Only shows Op. and parts manual. It does show a service manual for a 231, if you only type in 231. Not sure what the difference is, or if the S model is included in it.
As far as looking for parts, you can do that online here:AGCO Parts Books
Enter as guest user, then select model and manufacturer, and hit search. On the next page, select your model, becase any piece of MF equipment with 231 in it will appear.
After selecting your model, a list by section of tractor will appear. Select what you want, and an exploded view of that section, along with a list of part numbers will appear.

Here is the response I got when I asking AGCO publications what manual I would need for my 2000 model 231S.
"The manuals you would need per your request are: #1449256M2 (tractor), the cost is $59.85 and #1449211M1 (engine), the cost is $23.76.
There would be a $6 handling fee plus shipping charges which is determined by the weight of the manuals. A ballpark figure could be between $10-$15.
You can go online to AGCOPUBS.com to place your order if you wish OR you can contact AGCO Customer Service at 1.877.355.8076 and someone would be happy to place the order for you.
Please allow at least 72hrs to print, process and ship your order from the date order was placed."
All things considered these are priced vary fair.I did not order mine yet . But will be soon.
