massey ferguson 135 power steering leak

I had just bought this tractor, he did say it was leaking fluid plus steering is stiff and figured the fluid was leaking down into drive box. Could this just be the seals, plate on top off power steering is not cracked and fluid is low.

Where is the fluid coming from. If its from the air vent at top of steering box, I can help. Let me know

My MF135 has steering fluid coming out of the top of steering column. Can you help me on this?

Waverider Mine was leaking at steering wheel. I had to get parts from AGCO dealer. Hardest part was getting steering wheel off, cracked black off spokes. It had a "bearing" at top tha was $20 plastic bushing, seal on bottom and o ring. This is from memory. I bought manuals and parts book, used parts book mostly. Not very hard, but be careful getting seal and bearing out, you can break off part of it. May be able to but assembly at decent price with seal and bearing in it already. I found info on this website.

Thanks for replying. I put some Lucas power steering stop leak in it and it seems to have stopped leaking. It took a month or so to eventually swell the seals. I'm going to keep an eye on it.

My 135 is leaking power steering fluid into crankcase. How do you remove pump? Somebody told me the tractor had to be split

From memory there are two bolts that hold the pump on front engine case. This was a Perkins tractor. The front gearset runs the pump. If that seal was bad it would drain into the engine.

Hi I am new to the site. I have a Massey 135 gas and on the weekend while sitting idling the oil started leaking from the vent on the power steering pump (quite a bit) and the lines were super hot. Any assistance would be great.

G'day Lee pull the canister off the back of the pwr steering pump and check the filter in it, it may be blocked if not it sounds like it is going over relief valve for some reason
