Hi,
This is my first post here so please bear with me if I do not have all the terminologies correct. I have a leak on the passenger side front axle where the axle pivots when you turn the steering wheel. I have a Massey Ferguson 1529 with 240 hours and it is just out of warranty. I researched the thread, and found what I thought was the solution to fix the problem, but it was for a Massey Ferguson 1533 posted by a member and the heading was "Hub to Axle Seal Job complete on a 1533, Photos". My problem is identical to this. Unfortunately the 1529's do not have that cap at the bottom. It is one complete housing. From the schematic in the Agco parts book, it should be a snap ring, a bearing, another snap ring, another bearing, and then the seal. After I found out that there is no cap, I proceeded to take the hub out, but I do not know how to proceed further.
Any help anybody could provide, will be highly appreciated.
