Can anyone give me some info on a MF 180 and what a fair price would be for one in good condition? Thanks

The 180 was a flat deck version of the 175. They were first released to US markets in late 1964 as a '65 model. Available in gas or diesel. Diesels were 236 cu. in Perkins 4 cylinder. Gas was 206 cu in Continental 4-cylinders. Diesel was 64 hp and gas was 62. They were 6755 lbs unbalasted. 12 speed (3X2 w/2-speed multipower) or 16 speed (2X4 w/ multipower) They ceased being produced in 1974.

They don't sell as well as smaller 100 series Masseys traditionally. I've got a couple used equipment price guides that list average price/average condition as low of $2900 to high of $4700. Diesels selling higher than gas.

I can't add anything to what FWJ said but if you find one for a sensible price and are prepared to do a bit of work on it they make excellent tractors. You should still be able to get all the parts for them and they were pretty bulletproof as a line of tractors.

The 180 is a bit more refined in the operating environment that the lower end of the series (135, 165)

Theres also a bit more reading on this page MF100Part2

Probably won't either. I do believe the 180 was another "North American market only" tractor. (like the 150) If I'm remembering correctly, the rest of the planet got the 185.

Yeah, I don't think there are very many 180's over here.. maybe one or two that collectors have imported.

We have 185's and 188's.

Dad has a 1967 180 diesel with loader, not pretty anymore but still works good with over 9,000 hours on it. Later models also had Perkins gas 236 option, when I worked at Deaton Equip years ago did a valve job on a 175 with Continental 206, was only one I had ever seen, was sold by another dealer as Deaton would only sell diesel models.

While we are on the MF 180.
Looking into getting an MF 180 4cyl diesel.
from the pictures I don't see any gear shift on the floor, does that mean its automatic or is it still a standard shift?
Are there any other more popular Massey ferguson models that share similar parts (165, 175, 185 etc) or are they unique to it. I am talking more the transmission, gearbox and other expensive parts.
