Massey Ferguson 35 fuel problem

Hello guys and gals, I知 trying to get my grandfathers 35 running properly. Bought new in 61 with the Perkins, used all summer to rake but started running like crap awhile ago, fuel knock under load, stalling after running for awhile and having to pull it to start, otherwise it would just crank and crank. Replaced lift pump, filters and the injection pump but it痴 still a job to start. Bled and bled from tank all the way to injectors but still not running properly. We get it running and find foam from middle injector line at injector when cracked. Shut it down, pull off line and foam keeps coming back out of injector? Is the injector worn or stuck open a bit? Could compressed air from cylinder be forced back through injector and into pump? Also #3 injector is leaking around head. Any insight would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

The injector is stuck open..leaking compression back up thru..
FYI> replace ALL the inj. tips.

Thanks for the quick response thepumpguysc, yeah I just pulled all 3 injectors (they are original). I'm having a tough time sourcing new ones online, these have an "F" marked on the tab. Would anyone happen to have a lead on where to purchase? Thanks again

Just get them overhauled, or exchange reco injectors. ThePumpGuy I believe (or any other diesel specialist shop) would be well able to do this for you. Ensure the sealing surfaces in the cylinder head are clean, renew the copper seals and torque them when you refit them. She will run a lot better with them too.

What search engine are u using.?? I plugged it in I. Explorer & they came right up..
They can be overhauled at a fuel shop..
I see your in Ontario otherwise I'd help u out..
Just Google, "diesel fuel injection shops" in your area..
They should cost around $65.00 {US} each at the fuel shop.. it looks like about 40-45.00 online.

Hey guys, yeah I meant finding new ones online seems next to impossible? I spoke to the massey dealer near here and he said they are discontinued and to look for aftermarket. I would like to get these overhauled but I'm not sure how to go about that with the limited resources in northern Ontario. Would I need to get the nozzles first for a shop to overhaul? Not sure what's involved in overhauling these babies. Thanks again

No problem and the shop will get the parts so no worry for you, almost all parts are available, the MF35 is still in production to this day.

U don't wanna go to a DEALER.. he's just a middle man{for the injectors}
U might have to go thru him for the lines unless u can find the p#'s online..
GO TO/SEND THEM TO A FUEL INJECTION SHOP for the inj. rebuild.. the MF dealer is just going to mark then up 25-35% just for handling them..

It turns out the owner of the old Massey/Zetor in these parts rebuilds and tests them so I dropped them off last night.
