Can someone help deciphering the serial number. it is supposed to be all original. the tag says model TO 35 SDM198921. Which would be standard chassis standard 4-cylinder diesel A two stage clutch but what's in it is the 3 cylinder Perkins and the body style of a Massey Ferguson 35 with the pointed Grill. i would like to buy some parts not sure what to buy parts for. i think I'm confusing my self with all the info between the TO TE FE MF and all the other things with the 2 companies merging brands. i have a picture I'm gonna try and load it up if it will help. its red and Gray and says Massey - Ferguson 35, tri star MF hood badge, and. sticker that says Massey power or something.

if I compare the two pictures it's actually the other Massey 35 with the pointed front grill but it says it started in 1960 but my serial number says 1959 that's why I'm wondering if the the hoods been changed but I was told everything is original it's been sitting.

ok here are a few photos to help with identification. please let me know if the link doesnt work. I'm trying to do some maintenance and buy a manual on it but keep getting the wrong parts. I would like to drain and fill the rear dif hydraulics but I guess there is a difference between the mf and to 35 as far as how much and what kind of fluid to put in. more people said to put in straight 90w gl1. every time I want to buy something it generally depends up to or from on the serial number which is supposed to be all original. finally got the right fuel and oil filters. the gauges and tractometer are all miss match or rotted and I would like to put the correct ones in. couldn稚 find anything on the serial number or casting number of the engine block. Was hoping it would give some help as to the year or if it was replaced. is this thing just what was left over on the end of the line during the merger. any help would greatly appreciated as the parts store is all the way in town. If any one needs any other photo or something just ask.

That number starting with SDM is your tractor's serial number. If you go to the Yesterday's Tractors web site and look at the left hand column under Research & Info, there is a section on serial numbers. You can search that and get an idea of the year.
