Massey Ferguson 406 Work Bull Tractor Shovel repairs

I recently purchased a Massey Ferguson Work Bull 406 Tractor Shovel equipped with the front loader and the 220 rear backhoe. The motor runs like new, but boy are these hydraulic repairs a challenge. It's a 12vlt positive ground.

Today the grandsons and I will be repairing the ground off the battery, it looks original and is rusted so bad it's not grounding.

There's also a massive fluid leak on the right end of the hydraulic controls for the bucket, I'm guessing worn out o-rings, but we'll see.

I like this unit, it seems pretty cool. I'm interested in locating some of the other accessories they offered for it back in the day.

If anyone knows where I could find some of them to restore I'd appreciate it.

I was luckey enough to find an orginal parts book for this unit as well so if anyone else needs info contact me and I'll try to see what I have. There doesn't seem to be a lot of info on the net with regard to these.

Hi Kroddy, I also own a 406 work bull. I have been looking for a intake exhaust manifold for mine. I thought the problem was the gasket but it is cracked and there is a large hole on it also. I can’t find one anywhere. Do you have a part number for it? I can help with technical information if you need it. I have a owners manual. Mine has a loader on the front and a backhoe on the back.
