Massey Ferguson 4235 Power Shuttle 12 x 12 Transmission question

I have a 1997 4235 MF with a power shuttle that moves in forward (Low and Med ranges but struggles to move in High range). It shows error code 4 -2. When I shift to reverse it drives normally and the error codes go away. I have checked the electrical connections on the two solenoids and pressure sensors under the operator's platform, they seem to be ok. The tractor has approximately 2900 hrs, on it and the tractor is new to me. The hydraulic oil level is in the normal range, the oil seems to be thin to me but not sure if that is normal for the Permatran 3 oil that is recommended?

Does anyone have any insight on what I should check?

I am not familiar with that model or how the transmission works, but my guess would be that the forward clutch has a bad sealing ring causing pressure loss resulting in the clutch slipping on the higher gear.
