Massey Ferguson 573

My brother in law has a 2008 Massey Ferguson 573 tractor that needs an alternator. The Massey and AGCO dealers can't find one. A guy that worked on it before put the wrong alternator on it and threw away the original one. Anyone have any idea where we can get the right alternator or at least the right part number. The dealers just say it's discontinued.

I am struggling to believe agco doesn't know what the part number is or what alternator goes on that tractor. Sounds like some dealer is giving you the run around. You might check with a different dealer and see if you get the same results. The other option is a ag/tractor salvage yard. There is Abilene machine, all states ag salvage and another salvage yard in Clinton Missouri. Just Google ag/tractor salvage and you should get 5-6 choices. Hope this helps.
