Thank you. Xfaxman informed me yesterday that 80/90 mineral oil was used according to Big Dean Austin's tractor video. Is that the same as what you can buy today as 80/90 gear oil? He also suggested different grades for winter and summer. Would there be a problem with using synthetic gear oil? It would have more initial viscosity when just starting to roll in the winter. I had heard a rumor about synthetic gear oil being hard on rubber seals if they were used to regular gear oil.
