Tractor= 1961 Massey Ferguson MF50 High Row.
I have read some previous posts by farmwithjunk about the ability to tie in a single acting cylinder (log splitter) into the MF50's internal pump WITHOUT having to buy the hydraulic diverter, etc.. that mounts in place of the cover plate below the seat. He indicated there is a 3/8" allen plug on the side to use as the supply and then another that is next to the clutch petal for a return.
As this would not be the best looking set up I prefer function over looks. At some point I will spend the $300+ on the hydraulic diverter but until then I was hoping that someone else has done what farmwithjunk talked about in multiple posts over the years. I do know that I will have to tie off the lift arms and can only use one or the other. I tried sendng farmwithjunk a private post but have not gotten a reply. Does anyone know if he is still an active member on this site?
Has anyone else with an MF50 done this and if so how has it worked? If you did and had pictures it would be even better but any informatin is appreciated. Thanks I am a new member and a new tractor owner.
