Sickle Bar massey ferguson sickle bar mower

I have a Massey Ferguson model 238 sickle bar mower. can anyone tell me how many degrees up and down from flat out that I could operate this mower without causing damage to it. will be trimming the edges of ponds, and would like to trim vines hanging down from trees and light brush that is taking over atv trails

Ken Sweet should be by soon to give the definitive answer. However, since it is belt driven I'd say you shouldn't have too much trouble with the pond bank but I don't know about the vertical limits. Many belt driven sickles can work at 70° down and 90° up.
