I have been reading this forum for ages now and finally took the plunge and got hold of a grey fergie, only problem is im not sure what model ect.

Its a diesel with a key start on the engine is the following info:
BPE4A 60012056292 EL
R26301 it
The standard motor company then -----man saunders engine

on the other side stamped in to the engine block is:

Can anybody help me here is it a TE20 ???

I don't think the TE 20 was a diesel, and TE would mean it was built in England.
Go to yesterdays tractors.com, they have a lot of info on those tractors.

TO35 maybe?

As far as I know the TO35 came with a gas or a diesel.

What tranny? 4speed w/reverse or 3X2 w/reverse? 35's will have hi/lo shifter. Earlier models won't. You will learn more with the tractors serial #. (On 2" X 3" metal plate on dash near steering column)

Go to Yesterdays Tractor website, Massey Ferguson forum, and shout out to "DavidP, South Wales". He be da man on British manufactured Fergusons/Massey Fergusons. They were quite different than US manufactured models.
