Hello,
I just purchased a new to me Massey Ferguson 50C(?) Backhoe. It has the 300A loader in front and the 54A backhoe in the back. I have a question on the instant reverse operation. The machine has two pedals on the right-hand side. One is for forward and the other is for reverse. There are two levers in the middle. the right lever is shorter than the left lever. What do these levers do? Also, the long yellow stick sticking on near the right foot, is that a differential lock?
The guy I purchased it from has owned it for 13-14 years and always babied it. I have probably seen 20+ backhoe loaders during my research and this is the first machine with ZERO rust in the cab or anywhere else. Obviously, the loader bucket and backhoe bucket do show surface rust. The machine has a very responsive power steering. I can't wait to play around with it but I want to learn the controls first.
Thank You
