Good evening gentlemen,

Speaking with an french Massey Fergusson dealer I have learn that AGCO corporation, who is the owner of the brand names Massey Fergusson, Fendt, Challenger and Valtra, build blue sprayed big tractors which are sold in Japan as Iseki.
In the reverse way, the Japanese firm Iseki build for MF the compact 1500 series which are sold in EC and, maybe, in US.
I found this statement strange until I made a comparaison between the Iseki TH series and the Massey Fergusson 1500 series : same equipment.
I discovered too that Iseki are sold in the US by AGCO dealers.
Did you know something about this ?

The MF compact series 1100, 1200, 1400, 1500, 1600, GC 2300/2400/1700, New 4600 with SISU engine are Iseki built.

They are an excellent tractor company.

Thanks William for your answer.
I noticed on the MF section of TBN that MF compact were said to be very good tractors but cheaper than Deere.
I understand why now because in EC, too, Isekis are cheaper than Deere.
Considering this precision what would be the interest to buy a compact MF and not a compact Iseki ?
Do MF compacts have some special equipments that do not have the corresponding Isekis ?

Thanks if you know the answer,

Phil

Hello,

Our reason for buying MF iS support, as we have no iseki dealers here. Plus, we live MF, and bring it is a Canadian founded company, that is another reason.

Thanks William for your answer.

Will,

I have other questions as I have just seen you own a MF 1635.
What is writen on the factory plate of your tractor ?
"Made in japan" " Assembled in US (or Canada)" or something else ?
Have you got a clutch pedal to push to engage the gears or the inverser with you powershuttle transmission. ?

Thanks,

Phil

It is labelled Mazsey Ferguson, built in Japan to MF specs.

Yes , it has a clutch pedal, only used for changing gears, and if starting off on a hill.

Feel free to ask away.

I have been looking very hard at a MF 1643. Not far from taking the leap. I have looked at kubota L3800 & L3200, Mahindra 4035 & 3616, Kioti DK40SE, John Deere 3038, MF 1540 & 1643 and I keep going back to the MF 1643. I just like that tractor. They are all foreign made.

Good evening,

This maybe interesting :

In addition to the purchase of machinery
, third-party suppliers supply us with significant components used in our manufacturing
operations, such as engines and transmissions. We select third-party suppliers that we believe are low cost, high quality and possess the most
appropriate technology
. We also assist in the development of these products or component parts based upon our own design requirements. Our
past experience with outside suppliers generally has been favorable

As stated Iseki has been lined up with Massey for a long time and make great tractors. I would put them right up there with Yanmar and Kioti.
