I have a Massey Ferguson gc2400 and I haven't been able to get it to start since Jan. The battery is fully charged, all fuses are good. If it sits for a while (a few hours), when I turn they key on, it takes about a minute before anything happens. Then the gas gauge will slowly start to register and the lights will slowly come on, followed by the fuel pump clicking slowly at first, then almost normal. When I try to start it, I hear a "ping" sometimes at the solenoid. I checked the wire at the starter and it is getting 12.5 V when everything seems to be "hot" (hearing the fuel pump, all lights on etc). I've traced most of the wires and don't seem to see any corrosion or signs of a short...If you suggest I try to start it straight from the battery to the starter, please advise me on how to do this. I'm a bit weary to do this since it says right on the solenoid "Start only from drivers seat". Any advise would be greatly appreciated!
