Max 28 Box Scrape

54" is ideal but not too many guys stock that size, most guys go with a 60" box. If you have tire spin with the 60", you might load your rear tires.

I use mine with 4x4 engaged and have caught a root and was stopped instantly. Tractor was still trying to go, but lost traction. I think that loading the rear tires may be something I need to consider.

Many dealers will not sell you a tractor with a loader unless the rear tires are filled. Fill them and you will be amazed at the difference.

mike69440, I think that you will be much better off staying with a 60" unit. I know that a 6 footer sounds good, but you need to look at things realistically and I sure don't see a 6 foot box blade as being a good match for your 28XL.

Just my :2cents:

I've owned the Landpride since 2005, I won't be ripping, just grading. i figure It will work as long as I don't fully load up the box. I als have a 7' York rake that my B7200 realy struggles with if I try to move a lot of dirt.

You ought to be fine. You obviously have a lot of operator experience. A careful operator can often run larger implements than we would suggest to the average guy. We try to keep people out of trouble.

I am going to try my 6' on my 26xl. Like you I won't use the rippers or fill the box. I will just use it to grade. If I need to use the rippers I'll put it on my big tractor.
