3-Point Hitch Max 28 Keeps Quitting

I wanted to move some snow yesterday and my Max 28 kept shutting off. It only has a little ove 100 hours, has a full tank of treated fuel and I recently replaced the fuel filter. I am thinking it might be a safety but not sure. Any suggestions?

Not sure how much you weigh but sometimes when it’s cold the seat Safety switch won’t depress. Does putting you knee into the seat help?
This, of course, is assuming you have good fuel and flow. Nothing plugged in the tank and no air in the system. It’s common to get air in the system after a filter change. Others have posted on here with gelled or algae fuel and thought that adding additive would fix everything. Remember it’s going to take some run time to get old, non treated fuel, out of the filters, fuel lines etc. We also had one person post thinking a cetane boost would also fix gelling.

I have kept treated fuel in it right a long. I will get it started and let it run to warm up and after a few minutes it will shut off.

If you are sure you have clean/uncontaminated fuel I would pull the newly installed fuel filter inspect/clean of obstructions and see how it runs. Was it OEM or an equivalent replacement?

Try leaving the fuel cap loose. Cap vent my be blocked.:thumbsup:

I got a little time to work on my Max 28 this past weekend. I started it, let it run for awhile to see if it would quit. It stayed running! I moved piles of snow for about an hour with no problems. The only difference was the outside temperature. It was 40 out.

I知 using the Mahindra fuel additive in my tractor. Should I be using something else too?

I think it had air in the line (how picky!!!. I let it run rough then it ran ok. Now it is fine. Thanks for info.

Double check the fuel filter O ring to see if its on in the proper place, easy to do I did it and took a while to figure it out.
