thanks for the help. the dealer did tell me he bought the machines at the factory auction. it appears the machines are taishan??. i did drive one around for about a half hour or so and it seemed to run fine, but i did not have it under any kind of load. the dealer wants $4500 without loader. i will spend more on a better machine if you guys recommend it. this will be my first tractor purchase and i am mainly looking at price as the wood i need to get out is just a hobby to get me out of the rat race. it's alot cheaper than therapy /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif.

Hey Jaab,

Personally, I would recommend looking at either a Jinma or a Kama, in the same HP, which is about 24hp, and compare the features that you will be getting before making the purchase.

PS, 4wd, wheel weights, front end weights, Canopy, # of Cylinders, etc. The 3 cylinder tractors have a much smoother running engine with much less vibration.

For sure make sure that you are getting PS & 4wd.

I stress again, to put the tractor under load if at all possible, and watch the overflow tube on the radiator. If you see any bubbles or water at all coming out the overflow tube, then you'll know for sure not to get it.
