Hello everyone,
I just joined this site so wanted to say "hi" and make my introduction. Live in Tracy, CA with my wife. A year ago we bought our dream home which sits on 2 acres. It's a rectangular piece of property with the back acre being the flat farm land. Last weekend I finally got myself a tractor.
It's a 1974 MF 135 (Diesel). It runs great and it came with an old Howard Rotavator Selectatilth E IV Series...which works pretty good as well. The tractor only has 3364 hours on it. I picked it up for $3,000. (They were asking 4k)
I would love to hear some comments from other members of whether $3k was a good deal or not. It's amazing how excited I am to have it. I couldn't sleep for two days in anticipation of getting it. You would have thought I was 7 years old on Christmas eve.
I have been trying to find and download as many manuals (Operators and Shop/Service) as I can online. I am pretty mechanically inclined and am looking forward to learning every nuance of my new equipment so I can enjoy it to the fullest for many years to come.
I invite any tips, suggestions or pointers...especially guiding me to the 419 page Service/Shop Manual for the MF 135.
Thanks for reading my intro and I look forward to learning and chatting with some of you.
Thanks,
Tom
