Just sharing my story of my weekend goof up just in case anyone else ever runs into it this issue. Father's Day I was out at our local hospital landscaping one of their poorly designed drainage ditches when I got low on fuel. I proceeded to go to the gas station and filled up my 5 gallon can and headed back. My helper got to chatting with me about something else and I completely forgot to fill the tractor back up when we got back. 10 minutes later my Kubota B3200 came to an abrupt halt. My mind went straight to trying to diagnostic mode... 5 minutes later SMACK!, it hit me... Talk about memory loss! I immediately remembered what happened when my wife's diesel pickup ran out of gas, that I would need to bleed the injector lines. So I bled the injector lines, the injector pump, and nothing. Sporadic puffs of black smoke came out, but nothing to make me believe it was going to run. I hooked up the jumper cables, because one of my buddies told me that's what he did and after 5 minutes of cranking his Oliver fired over. So I cranked and I cranked and I cranked and nothing. I called my brother in law who is the redneck god of fixing things. He came up, ran through all the injectors, then he did the one thing I had not done. He pulled the fuel line off of the inlet to the fuel filter and guess what? No fuel! Fuel tank was full, but no fuel. Clogged line is what it must be, but neither of us have a head the size of a chucky doll to fit between the ROPS and the engine to blow into this line, So my brother in law does something else I would never have tried. He takes the fuel tank cap off, puts his face over the mouth of it and blows... Whoosh! Out pops the clog and fuel starts running out. Hooked everything back up and within 15 seconds she fired up and purred like a kitten. Now I know this story makes me look bad, but hey, you can't learn unless you make mistakes once in awhile.

Well here's my embarrassing story for the week.

Go out to finally rehang the mower deck and drop the BH. I go through, pull the pins and then try to drive away from it. I work at dropping the BH for 20 minutes, steadilly getting more frustrated. Then I finally get off and look. I realize I had forgotten to drop the turnbuckles. :banghead: :duh:

I thought there was a lever to go into selfbleed mode, yes? I know my grand l 3410 does.

That is how the L4240 is. For the BX you just turn the key on for 30 or 60 seconds and it self bleeds.

Oh good Lord, you two may as well get a GPS auto pilot, you're taking all the fun out of operating a tractor ;)
