Kubota BX2230
I just want to give an "ATTABOY" to Messick's and their parts department. I ordered the new and improved seat for my BX2230 from them on Tuesday of this week and it arrived today - Thursday. I talked with my local dealer about the seat and he wanted more than twice the money. Messick's provided polite, professional and speedy service. My hat is off to them.

Kubota isn't going to let them sell on line parts anymore. Get them while you can. They have %10 percent off sale. I went to Kubota's web site and sent them a complaint letter.

Effective February 16th, Kubota Tractor is forcing Messick Farm Equipment to remove the tractor parts catalogs from our website. While we do not agree with this decision, we have no choice but to comply. We have built a business around providing online parts support to under served customers and we will continue to do so. After this date, please feel free to contact our staff and we will provide you with the unmatched service and support that you've come to expect. We will be able to email you any resources at you request, but will be unable to make the information publicly available. We apologize for the inconvenience this will cause our customers, and will do all we can to minimize your frustrations. As a last hurrah, we'll be offering 10% off all in stock or stock ordered parts until the catalogs go offline.

We thank you for your past and future business as we continue to innovate and provide the best parts support possible.
Sincerely, the parts staff at Messicks.

Use Coupon Code Kubota

for a 10% discount on in stock and stock order items. Valid now until the catalogs are removed.

These kind of decisions just kill me.

I just can not understand why a company wants to hide one of the largest profit centers of their business.

I know this is to protect the other dealers.

My dealer is a great person, however, I have to order just about everything I need because he stocks very little.

As a result, I have pay $5.00 per line item to have him get it from the Kubota warehouse.

i.e. need 3 different hoses? That's $15.00 plus the cost of the item plus shipping.

Kubota could capture all of their customers parts needs, (and profit) if they would just think!

I will stick with you as a vendor, without question, until you start causing me issues.

In light of the current economic climate, if I was up to me, I would be using every option available to insure that I had the market covered and all of my customers are happy.

If your sellin' Orange, ya don't need to give your established customer a reason to look at any other color...

What sellin' school are these people attending? Not the one I went to...

I have no idea as to why Kubota would be so protective of their parts list. But I do know Harley Davidson did the same thing, as well as some others I'm sure.

That has not had a dramatic effect on my decision as to buy or not buy a particular brand or model though. I buy the Service Manual AND the Parts Manual of every new vehicle I buy anyway.

Sure - I'd rather have an online parts list at my fingertips. But that's not going to stop me from buying from Messick's!

That seems to be a overreaching step "you will sell kubota parts this way" and a backwards sales stunt for kubota. Lets NOT allow the dealers to publicize view/sell parts via, the internet. To bad, kubota is a top notch tractor but does not want to modernize with public internet parts avalability like deere and others. Messicks is one heck of a dealer, to pioneer into that form of sales like that when kubota don't offer such service its self, and obviously a risk that had a very good return. Think Kubota would learn from a venture like that. If the local kubota dealer was as energetic, quick and helpful as messick's. I might have bought a kubota:D

Easy guys, Neil has said several times now, on the forum, that Messick's will continue the great parts support they have offered in the past. There is a copy right issue with them publishing the parts diagrams on the internet. From what I read, e-mail or call them and you will receive everything you received in the past.

This isn't the first time that Kubota has decided that limiting dealer internet advertising was not in keeping with the intent of their franchising agreement. In all fairness they have to respect all their franchises, even if they are not as progressive on the internet as Messick's.

I'll give you a call next time I need a part Neil, I know you will take care of it.

I feel lucky since I bought the books and just plug the part numbers into Messicks and wait by the mailbox.

I used to work for a company that was very protective of their parts information until the competition started overtaking them with better service. Kubota is either going to start learnining customer service, or there is going to be a lot of green and blue in their future.

The nice thing is, Messicks will still be there when Kubota is crying in their sake.

Several of the local Dealers are gone or no longer sell Kubota... no one in my county or the 3 that are next to me do... including the dealer where I bought is also gone.

I like Kubota and started using Messick's for my little parts orders... How can Kubota keep customers satisfied when their Dealers close and they make it harder to order from a Dealer that goes out of their way to be helpful?

By the way... I have not had a single problem with my BX-23... except too many rear tire flats...
