To add more to the fire:
- Steel can noisy as heck when chaining up something, especially early in the morning.
- A simple easy wood treatment is a 50/50 mix of used motor oil and diesel fuel. Makes the wood bead up with water.
Even though I like to weld, I prefer wood planking.

All this discussion about wood and steel - what about "Rumber"?

Our 16' "cage side" one has a wood deck that we have covered with thin metal. We mainly use it to haul cardboard and scrap for recycling. With the metal, things slide out better.
We use wood for the 21' that hauls the tractor/BH. Like the wood for this.
I am planning to put a wood flatbed on my truck.

I have been considering the Triton AUT1482-2 or the Triton AUT1682 to haul my Kubota B3200. What are your thoughts on the all aluminum Triton trailers?
I have an all aluminum 7x14 enclosed trailer I use for motorcycle racing and I have been borrowing a 6.5 x 12 single axle trailer to haul my zero turn mower. I really like the aluminum, light and no rust!
I borrowed another friends CAM Tilt bed trailer when I picked up my B3200 and I loved the tilt feature but hated just about everything else about the trailer. It is way too heavy duty for my use!
I would really love to find an aluminum tilt bed trailer!

Rbott - you need to start a new thread on this. Few will see it buried here. It would also help to kow where you are loated when you start this new thread as trailers tend to be pretty regional.
