Meteor 51"restore.....

Though my Kioti will not arrive for another 3 weeks, I have been working on "improving" and restoring a Meteor 51 rear blower.


Question: final paint is narrowed to match the Kioti (orange and black) or to honor the great people at MK Martin who have proveided me with tons of info...I'd go red and white in paint scheme as they are from the "North". I'm leaning towards a red and white scheme, but always open to suggestions.....

Before pics.....mechanically the implement is sound, but the paint/rust was bad....

I added shoes using the ones my Fisher plow uses........

POR15 is on, hopefully primed Mon, final paint next week or so.....

Less than two weeks left until I get to hook it up to a tractor, but final paint is on and drying...finally! POR15 base, primer, then orange and semi gloss black, all Valspar from TSC, which by chance, is on clearance at my local TSC. I hope they keep the paint, it's been pretty good for all my projects.

Looks great. I think you made the right choice going with orange/black rather than red/white. Now, you've got a long wait (hopefully) until you get to use it.
