MF 1225 Hydraulics

I've been lurking on this site for about a month now and it's a great site with a lot of information.

I have an MF 1225 hydrostatic that I would like to put a remote hydraulic hook up to angle my back blade. I have no idea where to hook into the hydraulic system. I have the service manual and I can't find anything about it. Can anyone tell me where to tap into the system for the in and out lines?

By the way, I don't have a FEL.

I have never worked on a 1225 but there should be hose on the right side under the platform. The hose takes fluid from the pump to the three point hitch. This is the hose that the remote valve will need to be plumbed into. This diagram isn't for your model of tractor but it should look similar.

Thanks for the information. That does help and I can see which line you are talking about; it's a hard line. What would I need to tap into that line? There is a bolt through connection at the 3ph, the type where the bolt goes through the sleeve of the connection. There is also a flare fitting just below the fire wall where it looks like a flare connection. The problem there would be putting in a fitting without having to cut and replumb the lines.

there is a manifold block already available to do what you want. Remove casting held on with 3 bolts on RH side infront of rear tire and install block. That will give you hyd supply for valve. Ask deaelr for block that is used on 1242 or 1462 loader hyd kit.
