MF 1240 electric PTO switch

I broke my PTO switch and can't find it anywhere...
Does anybody know at least the part number for this thing..

I have a 1250, I broke mine a long time ago . I priced a replacement at the dealer it is was crazy high, so I replaced it with a standard 12v toggle switch. It has been doing just fine for at least 15 years.

I was thinking of doing the same, but decided to ask... Maybe there was something special about the stock one...

Many of these expensive original design switches serve as the meeting point for many safety features such as not starting the engine with the blade engaged, not getting off the tractor with the blade engaged.
The simple toggle switch will eliminate these safety features.
Leaving the tractor out in the rain, in my experience, leads to corrosion in the pto and other safety switches.
You can decide if the original equipment switch provides the safety you should have for young operators who may not always recognize the dangers of operating a small tractor and mower.
