Gentlemen;

I have a 1970 British Massey 135 an I am in the process of removing the Injection Pump to repair some leaking seals. I need to turn the engine over by hand to get the flywheel and E mark in the pump aligned correctly. However, with the type of front axle I have, I cannot see a way to get a hand crank in there. Is there another plate somewhere that I can gain access to gearing to be able to rotate the engine??

Thanking you kindly in advance,

Gerry

U really don’t have to time it.
The drive hub has a master spline and the gear has a dowel pin that mates to it..
And on the mounting ear is a timing line.. that line mates up w either some degree marks or another line on the engine block..
Just go thru the front access plate (5 bolts) & remove the 3-1/2” bolts..
Do not move or disturb the gear after u remove the 3 bolts..
If you’ve never done it before, mark the gears to each other w a Sharpie..
Good luck.

Everthing went extremely well, except on my first run after bleeding, couldn't shut the engine off. I am sure the experts will know what happened. Yes, the tit on the bottom of the shutoff shaft wasn't engaged with the sliding lever. Fixed that and all works a charm with no leaks.

Once again, thanks for the help.
