Other than the obvious, are there any issues with either of these diesel engines that would make one preferred over the other for longevity purposes?

The 135 only has one diesel engine, that is the 45hp AD3.152

The MF135 diesel has 45 hp (engine) and 35 hp on the power take off (pto). The Perkins diesel in the 135 has an excellent reputation for power and reliability.

Hmm ok I guess I read tractordata.com wrong then. Either way, I'm a proud new owner of a 135 diesel as of today. I'll post pictures when I pick it up next week. Thanks for your help.

No problem.
My 135 is a 1964 Deluxe model with MultiPower. Bought it in July06. Has a few leaks that need to be fixed and the 2-stage clutch may have to be rebuilt or replaced. Par for the course for an old piece of iron with more than 4600 hours on the clock.

4600hrs is nothing! Mine has just shy of 8000 and still going strong! The 135 is the best tractor for bushoging I have ever found!
