I am trying to rebuild my carb and have discovered some missing parts. At the bottom of the bowl it looks like there is supposed to be some sort of valve or jet assembly. On mine there is just a pipe plug someone screwed on to seal the hole. Suprised it was still running, although might explain why it ran so poorly. I am enclosing a pic I found on the net so you can see what I mean.
Can't locate a rebuild kit that includes this part assembly so am leaning toward a replacement carb. Anyone know a good source for rebuilt carbs? A new one will run me at least $250 so was hoping to find a rebuilt one or a complete used one I could rebuild myself. This is for a '73 135 w/Perkins 3 cylinder. Thanks in advance.
