mf 135 repair

I hope to get some good advice from the guys on this forum. I have a mf 135 that has apparently lost power. Its 650km from me so I cant see the problem myself.
My first big problem is that I cant seem to source a manual in S Africa.I phoned Massey fergussen and have been informed that they dont make it anymore.One company said he might be able to get one but it will cost me $300. I think that is excessive.
We dont have ebay in s africa. Are there any suggestions? I am not that clued up on how to buy stuff from overseas and am worried to buy the wrong thing. Could someone please put me on the right track as to what manual to buy?
I see a dvd is available but was hoping to here if its any good
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I bought mine from the dealer. Whats wrong with your machine? You might want to try posting in the MF vintage forum as there are a bunch of good mechanics on there.

I have been informed it suddenly lost power and is hard to start

Diesel or gas? Check fuel filters if diesel.

It is a diesel It apparantly will not start at all now .They think there may be traces of Diesel in the sump

I just bought a complete 135 manual and complete Perkins manual for engine in CD form for 12 dollars American. You could do this, also. Let me know if I can help you.

When were the fuel and air filters last changed? Our neighbour's tractor lost power one day and stopped, and wouldn't start. The cause; fuel filters were totally blocked.
Also , if the air filter is solid with dust you will get similar symptoms, as the tractor can't breath.
