mf 135 running rough at acceleration

Ok I am at a wall here! I bought a 69 massey ferguson 135 with a 3 cyl gas motor from a guy that's parents used it for tilling garden for farmers market?! Brought it home and it kinda what I would call spuddered or stumbled when you let the clutch out the more I ran it the better it got but still bugged me. So took off the zenith/bendix carb rebuilt it ( this carb only has one jet adjustment bottom jet has plug in it) put it back on not much change still stumbled on acceleration and when first taking off, went and bought plugs, wires, rotor,points,cap put it on thought it was fixed but being me wanted to play with it tonight went out started it same old stuff I'm at a complete loss and it's driving me nuts making me question my purchase any help suggestions or moral booster would be greatly appriceate haha

Time to start looking for air leaks in the carb seals. Also check compression. Leaking head gasket?

A couple of quick things... Have you checked the air filter..?? Massey parts book shows an inline filter, just before the carb. Has that been replaced..?? When you rebuilt the carb., did you remove the discharge nozzle and clean it. The cross drilled holes can become plugged, and cause those symptoms. Doesn't do much good to just spray cleaner through the tube while in the carb. It needs to be removed, and the tiny cross drilled holes visually inspected.

If all of those check out OK, could have something to do with the governor also.

Well I checked my compression tonight, I had 150 psi on all three cylinders which I hope is ok I couldn't find what the numbers where supposed to be. I also talked to a guy at work that suggested changing my point gap to .026 which actually I think solved my problem at least it seams to be running alot better I guess we will see if it lasts. Thanks guys for your knowledge
