Greetings,
I am Roland. I live in Trinidad. I hope to benefit from experiences from others who have restored MF135 Diesel Tractors. The machine is a 1968 Model built in the UK and exported to the Caribbean powered by the standard Perkins AD3 152 motor. It is my first. It works OK but rumblings in the engine, excessive play on steering, transmission clatter, groaning in the rear end and erratic operations of the hydraulics strongly suggests that it might be getting ready to fall apart. Oil is also leaking from everywhere. My first question is ......Will the flywheel etc from the rope-seal engine interchange with the Lip seal engine?
I hope to start overhauling a spare Lip-seal engine in the mean time for a possible swap-out......................
I need all the advice I can get before I begin.
Thanks
