MF 135 wit Perkins ad3.152 what type of oil?

Sorry but was searching the net for a proper answer an I got that this engine uses 10W40 oil is that correct? I thought that most diesel engine would be ok with 15W40 just need clarification Thanks in advance

you being up north I would use the thinner oil.
