MF 1528 and 1533

[Hard]

Got the following prices:

1533, synchro shuttle, r4's filled, MF1525 66" bucket FEL--$19470

1528 hst, r4's filled, MF1520 60" bucket FEL--$16700

This tractor is for maintaining 8 to 10 acres. Woods, 2.5 to 3 acres rotary cutting, no finish mowing (have machine for that), remove snow from 500' paved driveway will probably use rear blade and FEL for that (mid-atlantic state), no dangerous slopes, moving piles of dirt-mulch-rock, my residence only-no commercial use

Not sure about the 1528 price, but on the 1533, (and if this were the Pacific Northwest...) I would say it was a little on the high side. I do know that this is not identicle in comparison, however, I recently purchased my CAT Challenger MT265B, which is the same as the MF 1533, Synchro, ML30 FEL, and a 5ft box blade for $17,900 all brand-new. In my neck of the woods, the MF is slightly more expensive, but since there are lots of CAT dealers out here, and the service is exceptional, it made sense to buy the Challenger. Incidently, the CAT dealers carry both Challenger & MF out here. Since AGCO,MF,and Challenger are all the same (except for the grill), you might shop those three specific brands if you are sold on this particular tractor already. Hope this helps,

Thank you very much for the response. My price certainly is on the high side it seems. I have an AGCO dealer about 18 to 20 miles from me that I will check out now for sure. I really wanted to buy as local as possible. The MF dealer is 1/4 mile from me. How do you like your tractor? They sure do seem like very nice units.

Well, I'm a little late on this one for sure...

Are you sure that this dealer has given you his best price??

Reason I ask this is because when I first went "TIRE KICKIN" and started gathering info and prices on tractors, My dealers first price kinda blew me outta the water... The second time I went back with real ammo in the way of another dealers prices and he then came down to earth and we made a deal...

Now with that said the 1533 is the replacement for the 1433 so I don't really know the value difference (list price)in the two tractors but I ended up getting my tractor (1433v) with the 8x8 synchro shuttle filled r4's 1466 loader and 60" bucket for $15,800 this was in december of 2003... it was a new model for 2004...

My bro in law also bought a new 1428v, no loader, 3x3 trans for $10k even, loader was $3000 extra...

This may not be a fair comparison because the 1433 and 1533 tractors aren't indentical but this is basically for pricing comparisons on the same size tractors...
