Hey Guys,

I currently own an Excel Hustler Z 60" for keeping our 8 acres groomed properly, but without a tractor, I cant get other jobs done. Have been doing my homework, reading posts on here, and it looks like to me a MF 1528 is what I need. My question is.....How much should a MF 1528, 60"RFM, and a 6' box blade cost me? I dont want a trailer or a FEL. I am in in Coastal SC.

I'm by no means an expert, but currently going through a fairly similar thought process.

My dealer in central ohio was running a "sale" on a 1528 HST for $12k.

Add a RFM and box blade, I guess you would be talking around $14,500?

If you were fine w/ a gear transmission, that would be around $1500 less I believe.

This was the price he offered me, so suspect w/ a little haggling you could probably shave $500-1000 off that number?

Be sure to let us know what type of a deal you end up w/.

Good luck.

I was given an "off-the-cuff-ballpark" quote of $11,800 for the 1528 with industrials and HST. Not sure about the box blade and mower. The box blade would be very different depending on brand and usage level. (light, medium, heavy, super duty)

I believe I'm going with a 1531 ($600 difference versus the 1528) which is HST and a BushHog 60" RFM. Also a MF 60" BoxBlade. Best price so far is $15,500. Gonna try to haggle some more. Dealer is only 4 miles away.;)

Well, went by the Kubota Dealer today, and I must say I was impressed with the L3400HST. Im really leaning toward it now. Anyone want to talk me out of it?

I've never seen a L3400 HST, but from a quick look on the Kubota site this looks like an apples to oranges comparison. The L3400 looks a lot bigger than the MF 1528.

The MF 1533 (large frame, as opposed to mid frame 1500) would seem to be a much better comparison.

How did the pricing compare on the L3400?

Keep us posted.

L3400HST, Woods RD6000 60" finishing mower, Woods GTC52 52" Tiller, United 560HD 5' Box Blade, and a Howse 5' Scrape blade is $17,995.00. It all will be delivered tomorrow, Just in time for some weekend fun. If I had purchased the Massey with same attachments it wouldve been $200.00 cheaper.

Is a 1528 Hydro strong enough to power a 72" MMM? And if so, any idea how much that mower by MF should cost? I'm in Massachusetts.

I can't find anything conclusive on this, but it looks like the model 1505 72" MMM will only fit on the 1533 and 1540 models. If that's the case, a 60" would be the biggest deck on a 1528 and 1531. Anyone know for sure on this?

A while back I was looking at a 1528 w/ 60" MMM, but it seemed the MF pricing on MMM's (at least at the dealer I was working with) was completely out of whack with everyone elses pricing. He wanted $3600 for the deck. That's at least $1200 more than similar sized MMM's from NH, JD, Kioti and others.

The 1528/1531 looks like a great tractor, but their unrealistic pricing on the MMM's made them a little uncompetitive.

I have the 1428 and I do recall the dealer saying that he'd not recommend anything over 60".

I also priced the MMM and laughed out loud when I heard the price. I bought a Wood RFM instead.
