It may be a safety switch. They are on the seat and pedals, shuttle shift or shifter. These are different on tractors with different transmissions. Make sure the PTO switch is off.

If its turning over its going to be electrical. Is your glow light coming on? also be sure a wire has not came off your FIP or Fuel shut off solenoid whichever. First thing I would check is the FIP fuse and all other fuses.

Would think if it was a safety switch, it wouldn't turn over. At least thats they way it was on my 2 GC series machines.

Could also be the fuel pump itself.

Did you run out of fuel at all? Could be a bubble somewhere in the lines. Might need to manually bleed the lines to get it moving again. Or could be a blockage somewhere....Could check at the output of the pump...or could loosen the fuel line connection at the injectors while another person cranks it over...see if fuel makes it up there.

There is actually one switch that will let it turn over but not crank. If you have ever gotten off the seat while operating with the shuttle in gear you can turn the key back over and it will have the system locked. It will turn over but no crank until you cut the key off and get of the seat to let it reset. cross over your seat switch to see If it helps. Make sure you replace it though if its bad. Im still thinking its a fuse or wire unplugged. Those have electric pumps on them you shouldn't need to bleed the system but I guess it wouldn't hurt

Id check to be sure your little fuel pump isn't getting week. not sure how to check them but I don't think they are expensive either.

Not sure if your 1533 has such a thing but many tractors have a small lever near the injection pump that allows one to manually "prime" the system. My JD4700 had that and it was often used when the machine got old enough that some air leaks had developed. The newer machines with electrical fuel pumps (that you can hear once you turn the key on and before starting) are self-priming.
