MF 1540 Exhaust Rerouted

I got sick of seeing exhaust bouncing off my loader, going back to me as I drive forward.
Very obvious at night.

My outer air cleaner was half plugged with soot from the forward exhaust too.
This elbow was in stock at O-Riley’s for 6 bucks. It fits perfectly. The way I angled it is as outward
As possible , while missing the R4 tire in the most extreme axle tilt and left turn.

No more sucking soot. No more dirty air cleaner, and I think a tad more power.

Im all for re-routing exhaust... but that looks like its gonna put it on the operator now.

My eyes and nose say it is a lot better than stock. 90 percent of the time, I am moving forward so the exhaust blows out and behind me , instead of in front of me waiting to drive through it. Visually, when cold or loaded, I can see it is almost entirely going under the platform.

I am a lot happier with it, as my lungs are too.

What is with this forum changing words with contractions, to screwy symbols? What a pain to have to go back and reword to IT IS so that the post doesn稚 have crazy symbols.

As long as you are happy with the results, is all that matters. Your first hand experience and observations are the most relivent.
