I got my MF 1540 with a 1525 loader September 2005. A couple of times the hydraulic line connection under the platform came loose and leaked fluid. It was the line for the forward tilt of the bucket. When the bucket wouldn't tip is when I would realize it was loose again. I could not see any reason for this to occur and assumed the connector was bad and wasn't locking properly. Got the dealer to have a mechanic who lives nearby stop and look at it. Turns out there was just enough tension on the hydraulic lines attached to the tractor that when the tractor was running the vibration could cause the line to pull loose from the back. The mechanic bent the line slightly to relive the pressure and it's been fine since then. Minor problem, but a new tractor with a hydraulic problem can be very irritating. It's under warranty and thankfully the dealer is good to work with and I didn't have to pay for the service call.
Just a heads up should anyone have a similar problem.
