Hi All,

I have just purchased a second hand Massey Ferguson 1547 and clocked up the hours to take it to its next service. I feel able to service it myself looking at a copy of the service schedule however I was wondering how I reset the inspection light when done. Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks,

Kevin

My advice is to accept the cost of having the first service done at your home.

It may cost extra compared to bringing it to the dealer's shop but it will give you a great opportunity to learn a lot about your machine from the person who comes to do the service.

My additional advice is to offer the mechanic $20 up front upon his or her arrival and explain you would like them to teach you about looking after your machine as they do the service.

I have yet to hear of a mechanic who turns down the request and have heard back from many owners about how much they learned.
