MF 1600 series cash payment incentive just got downgraded

Seems that the free loader for a new, cash paid, 1600 series is now history. It has been replaced by a free rotary cutter... Almost 1/3 the price of a loader...

I just got pricing again for the 1648 and 1652 both with cabs and with FEL after the free loader program ended and it only added $3355 difference by taking a cash price discount of 10% off the MSRP and financing outside the MF 0% finance program. This is for sure not the full price of a loader, so it was never a real "FREE LOADER" program although they were discounting it somewhat. I actually can get a 1652 from this local dealer about $500 cheaper than the 1648. This is due to my dealer having a 1652 in stock but has to order in a 1648 and the freight runs it up higher than the larger frame 1652 tractor. I am not quiet convinced on getting the MF 1600 series tractors yet as it has a few troubling ergonomic features. THe hydraulic remote levers ar behind your elbow which makes them not so easy to operate and the cab height is a little lower than other makers of similar HP tractors which means you have to duck down a little to get in. The second door is ok if you just want to open for conversation or whatever, but almost impossible to get out on the right side due to all the pedals and lever on that side. While they claim to be totally redesigned for comfort, they certainly missed the boat on those issues.

Have you ever been in a newer generation full size row crop tractor?? The reason the remote levers are in that position is because they are mechanical, meaning hooked to the comtroller right below that, under the cab. Electronic remotes are not an option on these. Also, show me a row crop tractor with a right hand door that opens?? Most do not, as of all the controls, monitors that can be mounted on the right side.

A new DL loader is around $3,500, plus installation, so that price is correct.

Previously I was quoted $34,250 for a 1652 Cab with Dyna QPS and loader @ 0% for 72 months. Cash price was $29,715.

That just about equals my quotes. I guess they are all the same for preliminary quotes. Have to really work them to get even a small amount better deal I suppose.
As a side note to Dieselfreak, no I havent been in a modern row crop tractor in 20 or so years, but I have operated many of them as far back as the early 70's and I guarantee you, they would not sell the first one if they put the remote hydraulics in such an inaccessible location since that is the primary levers used on row crops, they put them right at your finger tips alongside the 3 PH lever.

The o% for 72 months is gone also, down to 0% for 60 months. Good thing I ordered my 1635 tlb at the end of August. Tractor is in:thumbsup:, still waiting for the CB20 hoe.

I was quoted 26,500 for a 100 hours old 2008 rops 1552 with loader,
and
35,800.00 (cash price while free loader was still available, 39 500$ otherwise) for a new 1660 rops 12/12 powershuttle with loader. Price with cab was 43 300$ cash, 47 000$ financed...

pretty far from the 30k$ cash/35k$ finance you get quoted south of here... with the current rate, 30k$ US would be around 32k$ CAD, not 43! Why can't we get good prices here also...

MF is still offering 0% for 72 months. Just sold one yesterday. Not shure where you were told that but yes it is still going on.:thumbsup:

The link in the first post to Massey's site says 0% of 60 months. I don't care as I am in at 0 for 72.
