Hi Guys,
I'm getting ready for my 50 hour service & can not figure out where to put the second hydrostatic tranny filter, pictured below. On the transmission there is a cast iron cylinder that seems to be where the filter might go- I've enclosed a picture of it. Does the filter go inside this? If so, how do I open it up. There is no obvious cap to it.
Thanks so much
Brian

In your second picture where the Filter Base Bolts on the second strainer is located. Will need to remove the Filter Base. Should be shown in the Operators Manual with the Filter Base removed.

That picture looks like a strainer to me. It doesn't need to be replaced unless damaged. If it is a metal screen then you just need to clean it good and use the same strainer. Should state that in your owners manual.

Thanks guys. The owners manual is not that clear & suggests that there are three filters for the hydrostatic filter but my dealer said there were only two.
So if I understand correctly, I remove the filter base, which is the cast iron cylinder in my picture?
Thanks again
