MF 165 serial number question

Just bought a MF 165 and am having a bit of trouble pinning down the year of manufacture. Serial number is 9A T2I945. Every list i have looked at shows serial numbers with numerals only in the last six digits. Any ideas? Can't find anything else with the letters "T" or "I" in it. Thanks in advance!

Could you post a picture of the serial number? Sometimes letters look like numbers and vice verse.

To me that looks like 9A 121945. If that is correct, it is a 1971 model. Serial numbers for 71 went from 9A 107519 to 9A 128140
