MF 165 snapping front axle pins

My new to me MF 165 is snapping front axle pins like pretzels. First time after moweing about 10 acres of fescue. That cost me about 500 bucks in parts.
Any ideas why?

I've got a MF 175 with a loader on have moved lots of soil,manure,sand gravel,round bales and have never snapped the axle pivot.Is the axle pivot your using mild steel or tempered,hardened steel. I changed mine when I first got the tractor due to it never having been greased along with the bushing's but since I did that to mine it's been good. It's been mine for 20+ yrs. Larry

I was thinking along those lines. When I replaced the first pin, there was no grease in the bore. Funny ever thing on the tractor has been well greased, even the multipowwer still works.
