Tractor
Massey Ferguson gc1710 TLB (2016)
I got my 1700 three years ago, and put about 200 hrs/yr. Most of its work has been 75% backhoe, 20% snow thrower, 5% loader.

It's working great, keeping up with oil changes, hydro fluid changes, and greasing the zerks.

I'm shipping the tractor out to the dealer to let them do the service this year.

While they have it, is there anything I should be sure to have them inspect/do/replace?

I'm sure they will let you know if the tractor needs anything else.... Why did you not just do it yourself?

Make sure they check
1) Frame bolts-front and back
2) grease zerks and show you where the ones under the tractor reside
3) check all hoses to make sure they are run correctly and not rubbing
4) rear hydraulic screen -remove clean replace
5) check torque on wheels

I'm sure there is more, but this will get the thread started

YES... Mine came back from service with the left rear lug bolts loose, after cleaning HST filter screen for 50 hour service, needless to say shop manager probable didn't like the e-mail he received from me......

It's a combination of being backed-up with work and worry that I'm still learning and an obvious problem could be staring me in the face and I wouldn't know it.

Over they years, there have been numerous posts about things being missed at the dealer.

The dealers are all extremely busy right now, and they aren't going to put their best mechanic on an oil change even when they are not. You can get a jr Tech, or worse a maybe a trainee who isn't properly supervised, looking out for your investment.

No one else is going to spend the time that really should be spent looking over the entire machine.

The only way you can be sure your tractor has been serviced properly, is if you do it yourself. If you don't know how to do it, or are unsure of your abilities, that's what this forum is for.

If you don't have the time, then you can only hope for the best.

pedal bushings/grease to make sure pedals don't start sticking. company 2016 GC1710 started that around 200 hrs and we ignored it (really was not much of an issue) then when we wanted to fix it (approx 700 hrs) would have cost more.
so we traded it in towards a 2020 GC1723 LOL
