Thought I would post about my experience with the new MF 1734E I purchased a couple weeks ago. I've got about 19 hours on it now. Ten of which was running a brush cutter. About 8 hours were using the FEL cleaning up the foundation of an old farm building I tore down this summer. Lots of old cement, large rocks, small rocks, etc.. I am very pleased with the performance of the machine. Good on fuel and plenty of power for the work I have. The seat and platform are comfortable for me being a tall guy.

Glad to hear from another 1734E owner, I have been enjoying mine for the last 18 months or so. It was a huge leap forward from the 8N I owned for the previous 30 years. I use mine for mowing as well and the ability to wade through the tall dense stuff that would drag the 8N to a dead stop if I was not very careful was a gratifying experience.
One thing to be aware of that was not in the owners manual, when the regeneration cycle is active the RPM needs to be 1800 or above. If it lower alarms will start to sound off. I have not had any other issues with mine.

Hi Mapper. I share your experience with the old vs new for brush hogging. I had to be careful with the Mustang when in dense stuff or running over a dirt mound hidden in the weeds from a woodchuck or monster ant hill. The regeneration cycle hasn't been a nuisance so far. It has kicked off every 4 hours and goes for 30 minutes. Thank you for the tip on the RPMs. There is a large dairy nearby that, from what I have been told, has a 1734E and they have over 1000 hours on it in a relatively short period with no issues.

I haven't had any other issues with the regeneration, the time the alarms went off was a month or so after I had purchased the tractor. Needless to say I was a bit freaked out to be having an issue with my brand new toy. The dealer did some research and found the documentation on the idiot light codes. I have purchasing a full set of service manuals on my to do list, probably will not need them for a long time but I would rather have a dusty set on hand rather than having to wait when I really need them.

Hi labhaven. I purchased a 1739E 1 year ago August. It now has 291 hours of flawless operation on it. I have never had an issue with regeneration or alarms going off. This unit has served me very well with loader work ,bush hogging, land scape work, log pulling, clearing woods, tilling, pulling an old 2 bottom plow and what ever else I can decide to do all on R4 tires. I am sure you will be happy with your purchase well into the future. the Massey E models are a good choice for performance without all the bells and whistles. Enjoy.

Great to hear Mossdown. I have a Massey Harris 2 bottom plow I'm planning to try out in the spring. The anticipation is killing me :)

I purchased a new Massey Ferguson1739e approximately1 year ago BUT unlike a lot of the comments on this page I have had MANY issues, some safety related.
My rejuvenation system at times runs for t to 6 hours before clearing which in turn has run my hours up considerably just trying to clear the damned thing. Numerous times while driving up a incline with a loaded bucket the tractor will jump into neutral and all of a sudden I am heading backwards with a load. My hydraulics for the bucket somehow gets moisture into the lever coupling area and then the bucket will stop working so off it goes to a shop or the shop mechanic has to come here. My nueteal safety switch is VERY finicky and you have to jiggle the lever to engage the starter BUT today, it will NIT do a thing so it is stuck in the middle of my driveway until Monday morning when the shop, Big a boy toys, answers the voice mail that I have left. When, if my tractor works olive it BUT I HATE the Easter fuel and hours with all of the issues that mine gas!!
