I have a Massey 175 with a 3 cylinder Perkins diesel that has recently started having hydraulics issues. I still have good oil pressure (assuming the gauge is correct). The arms just stop being able to lift at all, with or without weight on them but power steering seems to still work (its still easy to steer). Before this, it'd have a little shudder to its movement of the arms and power steering, but everything was strong - no issue lifting a heavy duty 6' bush hog, about 800 pounds with a boom pole, etc and the tractor itself runs quite well, engine is smooth, no weird noises.
The first time they stopped lifting, I drained a couple gallons of oil, pulled the right side cover off (with the dipstick) and looked around inside, poking at the levers a bit. Turned it on so I could see things moving, and the arms were able to go up again without me doing anything, so went back to using it.
Few days later, same thing again, arms no longer go up. Pulled the top cover off this time, looked around and noticed the stand pipe o rings were shot on both ends, so replaced them; seemed logical that could cause issues. Once more, put it back together, and it worked for a few more days, mostly running the bush hog. The only issue was sometimes the arms would stick up, but switching briefly to draft and back to position control would drop them down and then the position lever would adjust up and down again properly.
I'm now back to the arms not lifting again, and in hopes of this being the last time I have to pull parts off the tractor for awhile (and maybe even miraculously ordering all the necessary parts at once), figured I'd turn to y'all's expertise in hopes of a better diagnosis than what my limited knowledge covers.
It has fresh oil that matches the manual's specs, new hydraulic oil filter as well. Previous owner seems to have taken fairly good care of it. Any suggestions on pieces and parts I likely need to replace or adjust?
Thanks
